Training options
To increase your skills in the postharvest domain, we have created a number of trainings. Some of the trainings below are live, others are online. We also offer you the opportunity for a custom-made training on site.
Overview of existing courses
Cold storage of fresh fruit
The training "Cold Storage of Fresh Fruit" has been developed by WUR as an online course. It offers knowledge on long term storage of fresh fruit, such as apples and pears.
Novel sensing technologies and chemometrics
Are you looking for insights in the latest non-destructive sensing technologies to analyse fresh horticultural products and gain insights in their properties? Do you want to use data modeling for quality measurements and assessment? Then this course is something for you. Novel sensing technologies provide tools to increase yield, improve postharvest quality and make better decisions in fresh supply chains and thus reduce food waste.
Fresh Food Quality
The training "Fresh Food Quality - hands-on experiments with postharvest technology" has been developed by WUR as a course that offers knowledge on managing your fresh products throughout the fresh supply chain. By applying proper postharvest management using appropriate postharvest technology, product quality can be maintained and food losses can be reduced.
Refrigerated transport technology
The training "Refrigerated Transport Technology" has been developed by WUR as a course that offers knowledge on the cold chain. Refrigerated transport is needed to maintain the quality of fresh products in (international) supply chains. Energy management is an important topic. The course is offered as live course in Wageningen.
